Currently, Google Analytics does a great job analyzing past performance. Today we’re very excited to bring real time data to Google Analytics with the launch of Google Analytics Real-Time: a set of new reports that show what’s happening on your site as it happens.
Real time data can be very helpful in the following business scenarios:
* If you are a publisher, you often need real time data to understand what content is popular right now, so you can optimize the placement of that content, or publicize that content, to optimize ad revenue.
* If you are a retailer, you might want to understand, in real time, the launch of a new campaign. This is especially useful if you are using a channel, like social media, that has a very immediate impact.
* If you are holding a physical event, you might want to understand, in Real Time, how people in that location are using your website.
To fill this analysis hole Google Analytics now has a Real Time section of reports, creatively named Real Time. This series of reports offers a subset of data that is processed in real time, literally every second. You can see who’s on your site, how they got there and what they’re looking at in real time.

Yes the real time version of google analytics is a damn awesome thing to work upon,
the reports that are generated is via the real time beta is also of great help, we can also analyse that which visitor from which region or state is visiting our site and what pages hes referring in the same session....
